Andrew Marjamaa was born in Anchorage, Alaska. He attended Parkway South High School in Manchester, Missouri, where he played oboe and flute in the band. After high school, Mr. Marjamaa majored in Music Performance (BA) & Music Education (MA) at the University of Missouri in Columbia. Mr. M. and his wife, Jennifer, are the proud parents of a lovely little girl, Katherine Elizabeth.
Mr. Marjamaa says the best thing about being the band director at SoBoCo is getting to work with such wonderful students. He also likes to say, "It is not the final outcome that truly defines us, but it is the process we take to reach this destination that really shows who we are."
